1. Core physical and chemical properties
Balance optimization of mechanical properties
POM contribution: High rigidity (elastic modulus ≥3 GPa), strong creep resistance, tensile strength of 60-70 MPa, suitable for structural load-bearing parts.
PTFE compensation: low friction coefficient (0.05-0.1), but the strength of PTFE itself is low (tensile strength ≈20 MPa), after blending through fiber/particle reinforcement to form a "rigor-flexible interlock" structure, significantly improve the wear resistance (wear rate reduced by 40%-60%).
Extreme environmental stability
Temperature resistance: POM operating temperature -40°C~100°C (short-term 120°C), PTFE temperature resistance -200°C~260°C; The performance of the composite is stable in the range of -50°C~150°C, and the fluorocarbon layer produced by the decomposition of PTFE can delay the thermal degradation of POM at high temperature.
Chemical resistance: PTFE gives the composite material resistance to strong acids (concentrated sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid), strong alkali and organic solvents, especially suitable for chemical seals and reactor linings.
Self-lubricating and low energy consumption
Oil-free lubrication: The PTFE molecular chain slip mechanism makes the material self-lubricating, and the friction coefficient is close to the grease lubricated metal, reducing the need for equipment maintenance.
Energy consumption and economy: Compared with metal bearings, POM/PTFE components can reduce the energy consumption of the motion system by 15%-30% (measured data: a new energy vehicle motor transmission module).

Optical lighting   It used to manufacture large lampshade, protective glass, left and right eyepiece tubes of Optical instrument, etc., and can also be widely used as transparent materials on aircraft.
